Merry Christmas to you as well, James. I just got back from 7 days on my boat in Key Largo. Lousy weather, lots of mechanical problems and still much better than Chicago in December.
I am willing to be a test subject. My purpose: people who try to contact me from the member profile have been unsuccessful. I expect it would be used very much like the current PM, but hopefully if they want to provide me with contact information it would not be deleted.
Honestly, though, I already have more E-mail accounts than I need. What would be better would be to enable TCI members to send E-mail through the site to my existing accounts. My suggestion is that you set it up so that I can automatically forward the mail to another account.
We are looking for it to replace the Private Messaging system. Users will not be able to forward to another existing account, because we would be in the same predicament we are in at the current time.
Not being able to reach them due to overzealous spam filters.
Users would however be able to put in their contact information etc.
One more predicament. Users will need a new password for the new system.
Since we do not now what the users passwords are, this means we will be needing to send out a new username/password combo to everybody who wants to take advantage of the email accounts.
It must be or they are just plain board hustling looking for someone to take advantage of, seen this a few times in the past. Just wanted to nip it in the bud, before the complaints start coming in.
Things are good, just enjoying harassing a few less than knowledgeable posters who are looking to get into the Guru business or increase their post count by way of a this discussion board.
With the amount of posts I have made not much more I can say, then once in a while someone who is really sincere will post and I like to help them the best I can.
I need to remind Joel to change his pocket protectors from time to time when the seasons change, so I keep busy.
I just banned them. If they want to change their name they will contact us.

BTW - the email system is working at the current time, however, I want it to mesh in with the websites rather than look different.

Everything I found from them was from 2005 but sent a PM to stop the PM talk.
We will have to see. So how is life? Was out in Las Vegas over New Years should have called. Will try and keep a better eye on the Credit Board.
