Mobile Home Tags
I am in the process of trying to get a mobile home moved off a peice of land. I just learned that a home needs to have "tags" in order to move it. What does this mean? Where are the tags located on the house?
If the home does not have tags...can you get them? Where?

Every trailer has a "HUD" tag. Some have been painted over or removed. Their location is dependent upon age and manufacturer. You need to thoroughly examine inside and out; often the tag is in the laundry area or by the side door.
Call on a mhrepair shop or a sales lot, talk to them. There is a "master" book that identifies manufacturers, sizes, and how to decipher the tag coding.
