A personal one on one would be best!

Keep in mind you are going fishing, so you will need to bait the hook.

I suggest send a letter or email, follow up with a telephone call in a few days and than ask for an appointment if necessary.

So what do you plan to tell them anyhow?

I would start with what i do then
ask them if they would refer there clients to me
    and offer them an incentive

    any suggestions

Keep in mind that offering a finders fee upfront in the legal system and the attorney accepting it may be considered a conflict of interest.

When I approach attorneys, I explain what I am able to do for people in financial distress. I show them actual transactions and the importance of confidentially.

I also explain that I will run across people I can not help and ask if I could refer them to his or her office for help.

I always get a yes on this one.

I than ask if he or she runs into anybody that may benefit from my help send him or her to me. I then provided them a little info packed of what I do with a few business cards.

If they ask for a finders fee I let them know I pay x amount of dollars when I close on the sale, but most never ask because of the "I pat your back, you pat my back routine".
