Letters To The Obits

gavbo profile photo
Anybody care to share their letters / postcards / marketing material to the estate of John Doe, recently deceased? I'm suffering from writer's block and want to see (maybe copy even! ) your work. Thanks in advance,

Because of issues of sensitivity - do not want to offend anyone at their time of grief if they are grieving - I usually send the letter to the person as if I did not know they had died. If they have a spouse I send it to them and the spouse and I do NOT mention that the person died.

What format do you use? Blank solicitation?

I make the letter out to each specific person I am contacting. Just say that I am interested in purchasing their property, detail my offer price, deposit, title company (in case they want to check me out), my contact info etc,

Make friends with Probate lawyers in your area who handle court sales of real estate.
