My complicated situation
Please give me some suggestions:
I started to look into REI for about four months and I really feel it is time for action. My boyfriend and I live in two apartments (monthly pmt total is about $1600). I want to buy a fourplex/triplex/duplex and I live in one unit and rent out the rest units. But my boyfriend strongly disagrees-he is not into REI and extreamly againt me to be a landlord. He wants to buy a single family house after we get married. (we plan to get married this Fall). But he is working on changing his job (he hates his current job) and is open to relocate to other states. So we can't buy a house now due to the possible move. I am thinking about lease option either a single family house for me and my boyfriend or lease option a fourplex/triplex/duplex for me and sublease the rest units. My boyfriend is fine with Lease Option. I prefer lease option a multifamily house since I can get
some cash flow from my subtenants. also I can start learn how to be a landlord. But I never heard about mulitfamily lease option. Is this just a stipud idea of mine? Does anybody know this? and also under my circumstances, what will be a good solution to start my REI, stop paying rent to my current aparment and also be flexible with the possible move to other states?
