Lease Option Insurance And Taxes

tex64 profile photo

I have been reading alot on this sight and in books about Purchase Option investing. I am trying to understand the taxes and insurance on the property. Is it included in the lease price? If I lease a house from the seller at $1000 a month I am assuming that is a PITI price and not just principle and interest.
Sorry for a very basic question, but I am looking at all angles before jumping in.

Thanks in advance for any help.

John

I am currently looking at lease opton a home for my own residence. Would renters insurance cover me under the lease purchase agreement.

You would need renters insurance to cover your contents and liability.

    tex:

Your looking to rent/lease to own?

If so, the owner will carry a policy on the dewelling, and youcan (should?) carry insurance on the content as someone else said.

Other factor to look at is what portion (if any) of the rent if credited towards purchase price?
