What Liens Survive?

If I purchase a property at the foreclosure auction, are the government liens (IRS, property taxes, etc.) the only liens that survive the auction? I am assuming that this is a 1st position mortgage foreclosing.

    Depends on a few things.

1 If they were properly notified..then NO it does not survive.

    2. I they were not properly notified then YES it does.

    3. There is one that does survive them all an that is one issued by the F.D.I.C

Wlr Dlr, I'd sure like a citation on gummint liens NOT surviving, depending on proper notice, etc.

I'd have said that tax liens are like cockroaches...never going away.

But I'm always willing to learn, so shoot it to me!
