Transfer Of Property As A Gift Or Exchange
I own a piece a property free and clear. I want to transfer the deed to a close friend as an exchange of other personal property, not real estate. Since there is no money changing hands, is a simple transfer and conveyance of deed document sufficient for this type of transaction. I would then record it. What problems do you think I might encounter, could I transfer it as a gift?
