Transfer Of Deed

My dad and my sisters name are on the deed to land and house he owns next door to me. (i am the other daughter). I want my dad to take my sisters name off the deed. He said he would. How does he go about it? She lives out of state. Does she have to be here or can she sign something in front of a notary transfering the deed back to his name only. Thanks

All she has to do is deed her interest in the property to her dad. It would be best for her to sign it in the presence of a notary.

thanks for the answer. Does she have to go to a lawyer for this? Where does she get the documents to do this? This is a great help to me. Thanks for your help.

No she does not have to go to a lawyer. She can buy a "Quitclaim Deed" from almost any stationary store for under $10 or she can download one for her state from the internet.
