How do you talk to a probate lawyer . I have a person who wants to sell his house but he is under the spell of the probate lawyer. Not that he is saying don't sell but he nay make him miss out on an opportunity to line his pockets with my offer

If you send the lawyer a certified letter, with receipt, he/she can't ignore it and must address the issues raised with the client...so that's the ONLY way to make contact with the lawyer, as a call could be misquoted, mis-rememberd or refused.

As for your making the lawyer see the logic of your position or your side, I'd doubt that will happen.

So chances are good that you'll need to move on to another deal.

I assume the "seller" doesn't actually own the property yet.

You might try offering to buy the property from the estate itself. Since the attorney represents the estate and not the beneficiary, the attorney might be willing to do it. This certainly provides some liquidity to the estate. If the future beneficiary wants to sell it anyway, you'd think the attorney would understand that and try to sell the property now.

This is done from time to time.
