Dunn And Bradstreet Number

I am trying to establish my LLC. I have now been in business with the LLC two years, have a credit card, and have a checking account. But trying to really establish my LLC as a seperate, financially strong, entity. So I read a post on this forum about getting a D&B number - free. So I went to the website and tried to get the free DnB number, but of course they tried to upsale me.

Does anyone have any actual experience with getting a DnB numer and what did it cost and do you think it helps legitimize your business?

    biggrossnicle,

Did you get your business credit card with a personal gurantee? I also have had my LLC for about two years but keep getting rejected for credit cards unless I give a personal gurantee.

    Thanks,
    JS.

I have a 30 year history of running financially strong, viable business entities. The whole All-American rags-to-riches story. Never bounced a check, increasing sales and profitabilities, got listed with D&B 30 years ago, multiple locations, great BBB relations, Small Businessman of the Year Award from the local Chamber of Commerce, personal 730+ credit score, sold 50+ properties/year the past several years........ and this is the best deal I was offered by banks competing for my business:

A maximum of 50% LTV on a line of credit against paid-for commercial real estate, with a personal guarantee, after I pay about $20k in closing costs on a $1mil line and get an environmental survey of the collateral property.

So much for the value of credentials, huh?
