401 (k) Self Directed For RE Invest Q's

Hello I am Looking to end my job at the end of the year. Is there any way I can Take my money About $10K From My 401 and put it into a trust or something to avoid paying all of my penalties if I withdraw? Thanks for any and all help. :-x

    Yes, you can roll over your 401(k) distribution into a self-directed Individual Retirement Account. This direct rollover will avoid all federal and state taxes and allow you to direct the investments in your SDIRA. The right SDIRA custodian will also allow you to invest in real estate related investments.

    Bill Ex is "Exactly" right.

    And anybody can get a bunch of quick, free info from Equity Trust, or Pensco, et al, on how to open a SDIRA, then do a rollover from 401k into it, etc.

    This is exactly what's making those SDIRA co.'s a living & they're working with lots of SDIRA REIs with their IRA money helping them buy investment grade RE.

    These companies have BIG websites, so find, read & learn.
