Loft Allowed??

If I bought a wharehouse (miami, fl or surrounding area) oviously a commercial property, and I wanted to set up a small living space within, sorta like a loft, to be able to work and live (at least part of the time);
Could I meet some sort of code requirement in order to reclassify the zoning arrangement of my property?.
I would have no problem in adding any type of amenities such as plumbing or electrical upgrades.
Any advise on this issue will be greatly appreciated.

    You could probably get away with renting the unit to yourself if the zoning allows for multi family. Your best bet would be to contact Code enforcement and ask them, here in florida they are usually easy to get along with.

    Good Luck,
    Kyle
