What To Do When You Can't Get Cooperation

olivetree profile photo

What do you do when you have a release from the homeowner, call the bank, they refer you to the attorney, the attorney tells you they're waiting on numbers from the bank, every day you call and get no answers, and now it's the day before the F/C sale?

I'm prepared to dump money in their lap to reinstate the loan, I just can't find out how much they want.

Can I get them to suspend the sale if I send them a copy of the contract with the homeowner?

In Texas. Thanks for any help.

"Prepared to dump the money into their lap..."

A bit risky when stated that way.

You need to think of it as a loan or a sale. If you provide the funds you want to know the loan was re-instated. You also want control of the home and to get the deed.

It could be that the time for this deal has passed.

If you try to save it make sure you are saving it for yourself (maybe with a split to the seller). Do no tbe in such a rush if you have not protected your position.

I too am getting the runaround from people here in my county while trying to locate a list of defaults or preforclosures. I have been to the County Clerk which all I saw there were the properties which were set up for auction, I called the district clerk and they said they don't handle that, and I also called the Appraisel district and they referred me to an attorney. I just don't know what to do anymore. BTW what part of Texas are you located near?
