Trying For First Deal Need Much Help

I saw in my local paper a house going for auction may 9th. The judgement amount was 158,900. I ran some comps in that area and found that one sold 3 houses down for 210,000 12/23/03. I was thinking about trying to get this from the auction, but need to ask many questions. 1.) is the judgement amount the starting bid??? 2.) how do I tell if it is the first or second mortgage foreclosing on them 3.) how can I go about checking on the title 4.)what am I looking for when I go to the recorder of deeds to research the property. 5.)any other advice would be great, what else to look for how to find it ect. sorry for long post I am very very fresh.
