Selling Property - Use Of "Next Home"

Has anyone used next home to sell their property?. Was wondering how effective a service they are. The flat $900 fee sounds too good to be true.

It appears to be a standard discount brokerage. They will list your house in the MLS (Realtor Database) but the fee is NOT just $995.

You also have to offer out a percentage to a buyer agent. If the average rate is 6% in your area then typically half of that goes to the buyer agent (who does the actual selling). This means that your real fee is 3% plus $995. It also mentions that if they bring the buyer then their fee is 4% instead of $995.

I know in this area (Connecticut) there are companies that will put you in the MLS for only $399.
Often sellers who use these type of services try to be as cheap as possible. Avoid the temptation to skimp on the buyer agent percentage or you may find the the Realtors showing your home are not really trying all that hard to sell it because other properties are offering a better cut.
