Pre-forclosures In East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania

bettymucho profile photo

We are looking to move from NYC to Penn Estates in East Stroudsburg, PA (looking for 3-4BR/2.5+ Bath). I've been trying to use LANDEX to search online for Monroe county NOD's, but have been unable to find any. Any ideas on where I could obtain this information? Any help appreciated. Tell me, are you looking to find a NOD for a particular subdivision in a town in Pennsylvania to move into ????

Yes, Penn Estates. I've also had a relatively difficult time trying to locate the procedures re foreclosure in monroe county (i.e., time lapse between NOD & sale).

    Bettymucho,
Your chances are slim to none of finding a home in foreclosure in a particular development that is in foreclosure. Your chances are slimmer that it would be a deal.

You are probably better off buying one in the neighborhood off the MLS.

I don't understand your last post.

Why would it be difficult to find a pre-foreclosure in a development in that area? Foreclosures in Monroe county are expect to reach over 1,000 for this year alone (builder & appraiser finance scams have created problems galore for buyers).

    Betty,
Don't take this wrong, but you're nuts if you think this is worth your time and effort.

You MAY be lucky enough to find a FORECLOUSRE COMPLAINT for this Development. It may even have have not gone to sell yet. It may have be a HO is willing to work with you...be prepared MOST won't. It may be a deal that you can buy at the Sherriff Sale. don't count on it.

Again, feel free to try. I think you will not find what you are looking for. BUT, if you're bent on doing it. Go to the county's prothonotary's office and research it from there.
