I'm trying to locate pre-forclosure properties does anyone know of any reliable resources for the state of New York or counties within. Applicable feedback is greaty appreciated.
Try the newspaper legal adds. I don't know about NY but here is Georgia they come out every month in every county. Also make personal contact with banks starting with your own. Dress for the occasion and find out who handles REO's (Real Estate Owned).
You can go to your the county clerks office and pull up the lis pendens on pre-foreclosure homes in your county. other than that you can do a search on the interenet on new york lis pendens list or services. and you will be able to get a few sites in new york that list the lis pendens online. that should help you.

I am not in NY but I know that here in Florida there are a few companies that offer this service. The one I use has advertised in our Real Estate Investor Club Newsletter for as long as I've been in this area.
Why not get with your local club there and ask around? Or get the number to the administrator there and ask if they know of any reputable ones...
