First figure out what area of REI you want to focus on. I would have to say that is the most problem beginners have when reading the posts and wanting to get started. Read the posts on the different ways to invest, then select one that best suits your needs.

If you don't feel ready to jump in and get a deal done, then try bird dogging. With bird dogging you find leads and give the information to investors for a finder's fee. That way you can learn from the pros while making a little money on the side.

Suggestions on courses in the TCI Shop:
"Subject-To" investing and "Bird-Dogging" by John $Cash$ Locke

"Foreclosures" and "Short Sales" by Dwan and Sharon

As a beginner, I highly suggest becoming a bird dogger to get started.

feel free to e-mail me at jasontugz@yahoo.com.
I am from so. Fla and I can give you some "local Knowledge". I'm new to TCI, but I've been around the block a few times.

Most importantly " GOOD LUCK ", its a blast.

Depending on what part of S Florida you are in, the first thing I would highly suggest is to go to a local REI club meeting. Palm Bch County you have FLREIA & BRIC and DREIA down in Dade county. I think Broward has one too. You will meet a lot of people and will learn a lot too. But I do agree that you need to decide what your niche is going to be, check out the different forums and read what everyne is writing to see what interests you. Good Luck!
