Help Me Buy A Pre-foreclosure In Illinois
I have several properties that I have researched in my area. I would like to purchase a home for my family to live in, but at a substantial discount. I have about 5-10 homes in mind. They are in various stages of foreclosure, divorce or just homes that I know the history of, that are vacant. I have really done my homework on these homes, but I am in no way bold when it comes to approaching sellers or banks about these properties.
We sold our home for substantially less than market value a couple of years ago due to a medical crisis with my son. We are currently renting, looking to buy within 0-60 days and are preapproved for financing and a quick close (we have a letter stating this and that a closing can be accomplished quickly).
We need to stay in our immediate area as we have kids who are very involved in school activities. The problem is that we have been priced out of our market.
Is there a way to find someone who can secure the property for us, but then we purchase it from them or they broker the sale for a fee?
I have not found any realtors in our area who seem to know much about this.
Where can I find help? I am in McHenry County.
