Foreclosures In Atlanta

moniqueyscott profile photo

are there any investors out there in the atlanta area dealing in foreclosures primarily?

if so, is bidding on a foreclosure the best way to begin my bird dog/new investor career?

thanks.

I just happened to have researched this subject yesterday and found out the following concerning foreclosures in Illinois.

    - It takes roughly 215 days to effectuate an uncontested foreclosure in Illinois.
    - Owners have a 7-month right of redemption time-frame from the time the foreclosure complaint is filed -or- 3 months from the final judgement.

And the one that answers your question:
    - Owners have 30 days after the sale to retain possession and occupancy before they are required to vacate. My understanding is that after the 30 days they can be physically removed.

    Hope this helps!
