Foreclosure And Bankruptcy Research

bergvw profile photo
The property I have interest in is supposedly going into bankruptcy. I want to make an offer to the lender and step into their shoes for the foreclosure. My lawyer says not to until I find out if the bankruptcy court has given permission for the foreclosure to proceed. I asked the company representing the foreclosing lender if they had the bankruptcy court's permission to go ahead with the foreclosure and they told me I will have to research that information myself!! How and where can I find this information for Colorado? Thanks

I am interested in the same information. I hope someone responds. I would like to know the best and legal way of aquiring a property that is part of a BK. and it's pitfalls if any.

This is public information. Go to the federal bankruptcy court or get a subscription to Pacer. You will be looking for a document called Relief from Automatic Stay.
