The first thing you can do is start reading as much information as you can. There are some great articles and posts. If you click on the "articles" link at the top of the page you'll find some great information. Or you can do a search through the articles.
You need to sit down and write out a plan of action. How much time do you have to dedicate to REI? What type of properties are you looking to acquire? What REI technique piques your interest?
Decide what area of REI you want to focus on, then read up on the posts in that forum to get a better grasp of the subject. Good luck.
