Are Billboards Efficient At $150 Month?

Stockpro99 profile photo

I had a friend that just purchased billboard space on a main road for $150 a month when the old owner quit his contract for the advertising space.
This seems like cheap advertising, any thoughts? oh oh

I have been involved in a similar situation. Bus Stop Seating with built in advertising is available at $350.00 per month. Great locations. The only problem is you have to commit for a min of 6 months and a min of 5 stops. Seems like a good idea, unless you are stuck with the same target market for 6 months and nothing much happens. I say go for it.

At $ 150.00 a month I would jump on this form of advertising.
Of course it depends on where this billboard is located. Of couse it would be nice if it's located in an area where folks would be able to write down a website or phone number. Such as being located near a traffic lite.

The only down side is you have no way to track the amount of leads you will receive from this advertisement. Cost per lead.
    But well worth testng.

Here in the outskirts of Los Angeles, a billboard on Route 66 in the inland empire goes for $675-$1000 a month with a year long contract minimum.

My God man, if you can get into a BB for $150 a month I'd jump on it. I spend a lot more than that on my NOD's and NTS's lists every month (at least I used to...)

With all my supplies, phones, lists, etc it costs me about $400 a month to do basic business, if I could get one deal out of a billboard it could cover the costs for a whole year (at $150 a month that is).

Lucky you. I WISH I could get one for that cheap. Checkout $Cash$'s postcard download for ideas on eye catching verbage. Appeal to the motivated seller.

    My 2 cents. -MakoShark

    Stockpro99,

With billboards you have 7 seconds on average to get your message to your customer. This means your message must be short and strong.

Billboards are very effective, when you can tie one up for $150 a month it does not take many deals to pay for this.
