Buying Properties From The City

Hello im young and i figure that is the best time to start investing, how do i buy properties from the city, and i dont mean HUD, or VA homes. I have seen homes that are owned by the bank, but i have heard that it is alot cheaper to buy it from the city, if some one could give me some insight that would be great.

You got caught in a political web, you just had the wrong attorney that was not willing to go against City officials. I am sure the Developer/Agent is part of them.
I will not judge all Cities because of your experience in your particular City the thing to do is "read between the lines before bid"
I do however admire you for your gutts at this early age, you will go places just croll before you walk. OK?

Virtually everything the city owns and has available for sale was acquired by a lien process, without a title search and/or survey.

Do your homework! What are you buying? Who used to own it? What was the property used for? Why did the previous owner let it go? Any contamination? Check public records. View the property and talk to the neighbors.

Then factor in the cost of a Quiet Title lawsuit, and go.
