Purchasing A Home
My wife and I made the mistake of filing for bk long before we found this site, however, we are already starting to rebound. I have brought our credit score up almost 100 points in the past two months by correcting a few things that were wrong and getting a particular account that we have managed to maintain in good standing to report. I want to buy our first house before I deploy again so we can put a little extra into it while I am gone (special duty pay).
Now my problem. I have applied but been turned down twice. I have not mentioned my VA benefits but they haven't asked either. I am wondering if anyone on this site knows of a lending institution that specializes in lending to people like me and my wife. Or any suggestions to bring my score up a litlle more. Right know it is at a 570.
