Girlfriend Went To A Credit Counsler

My girlfriend told me that she went to a credit counsler who contacted her Credit Card company to negotiate a smaller payment & they put her on a fixed plan. She also mentioned to me that this did NOT effect her credit. Can that be right? I went through BK7 in 1997 on the advice of counsel that told me a credit counsler would screw up my credit anyway. THOUGHTS?

    Thanks. That is kinda good news. She said that she pulled her credit recently and nothing showed up. THANKS AGAIN!

    A good site on credit is www.crediboards.com. It is a forum much like this one only focusing on credit.
