Can You Get Your Credit Report Free?
I was surprised that when I called all 3 credit bureaus that they charged for me to receive my own credit history.
Equifax asks for Credit Card which I do not have credit cards.
Is there anyway to get credit reports free?

You can get them for free if you were denied credit. Otherwise you will need to pay $10-$15
Go to a website that lists credit cards and rates. Find the one that has no annual fee, and the lowest rate. Apply for it. There's a 99% chance you'll be denied. If you're denied, you can get a free copy of your credit report from the agency they used. If you get approved, don't bother pulling your creditl. Just go on and apply for mortgages, unsecured six-figure lines of credit, etc.
I have a good secret to get a transunion report online instantly for free.....go to their website and get a report and at the end they ask if you have been denied credit in the past 60 days ,hit yes and just type in a couple letters dont even have to be a word for the company that denied it and put down the month you are in anr year and it will give you 1 for free, I do it every other day!!!!!your welcome
What I've done in the past is do a search for "free credit report" online....it will come back with a bunch of companies who will sell you some sort of travel or discount plan in order for you to get a free report. Usually they give you 30-60 days to cancel and they don't charge your credit card and you get to keep your report. The only bad thing is they always want to mail it to you & it usually takes a week or two! I guess they try to get you to forget that you signed up for the discount.
Every time I needed to pull my own credit, I needed it immediately and it was worth the $8 to get it instantly online. Sometimes free is too costly in other areas. Time is your most precious asset. Don't waste it trying to get something that's already cheap for free.

In my opinion, this would be cosidered theft.
Depending on what you need your credit for...if its for a property etc. then go to a mortgage broker or bank and get your credit report there. They can pull it in about 10 seconds.
The Mortgage company will have no problem showing your report to you, but it's illegal for them to provide you with a copy.
