what does "perk" mean and what are the potential problems if a land fails a perk test, as relate to building a house on this land. thanks.

    Usually, "perk" is short for "percolation." It is a test designed to test how fast or slow water will seep into the group for septic tank function.

    thank you for your response, does that mean if a land fails a perk test, it can not be used to build a residential property.
