Experience With Toll Brothers?

flyboy profile photo

Hello all,

Been awhile since I have had time to post. Summer is a time to play and not workgrin.

Does anyone have any experience with Toll Brothers (NYSE Traded Company) with regard to purchasing your raw land subject to local approvals? We are about to enter into contract with them for 45 plus lots once approved. They have agreed to pay all engineering cost(I as the lead) and then a pretty good sum per lot within 30 days of town and Board of Health approvals.

Just wondering if anyony has any input on them?

Thanks, Flyboy

Am familiar with Toll. One of the builders I've never had occasion to broker a land deal with. Mega presence in my area.

Strongly suggest you hire a real estate attorney experienced in the approval process to make sure the purchase contract is as "tight" as possible from your (the seller's) point of view, including hurdle dates for submissions, verbiage of contingency clauses, etc.

Make sure your attorney knows his/her stuff.

Hi Nancy. How's your summer going? Grand I hope. Yes, we have on board an attorney who at one time worked for the town as their attorney for review of all subdivisions. Also, if you remember, my partner is an attorney as well, but we still employed a highly respected local counsel. Old and crusty, but well liked and gets the job done. Of course, respected means big $$$ per hour!

Thanks for jogging my memory. Good luck with this.
