Contract Assignment?
Is there anywhere to find good information about contract assignments?I would like to know how the assignments are structured (i.e. is the assignment fee paid at closing or when)? Typical assignment fees (per acre? or flat fee?) How much of the due diligence is completed (soil tests, survey, site plan, or anything at all?)Anyone with any experience please share.
well my favorite is the Lectric Law Library-- check it out on google. there is a section on contracts. Vague and General but most of what you really need to know. There are some things which are not quite right because the discussion is about contracts in general and not specifically real estate.
After that any general business law book will have a section on contracts.
