Condo Conversions
Does anyone know where I can get info on converting apartments to condos? I know the info will vary depending on the area, but I need the basics for starters.

I have seen several of these in my area. All have several common elements to them. They are older apartment communities that do not have teh amenities of newer developments, and all are in GREAT Locations.
talk to a real estate attorney and an agent... they should be able to give you all the info you need.

One of the first things you need to do is find out if it's zoned for condos. If so, how many units can you convert. Sometimes the size of the lot will dictate that. Go to the building dept. The inspector can let you know what you can do.
