Where To Start?
I am looking to actively invest in real estate, however, I have not done it b4..besides buying my own primary residence. I want to start in residential real estate investment. What is the best way to start? I was thinking about turning my primary residence into a rental.
You start by learning. Start by learning markets. Make contacts in the business by perhaps joining an Investment Association. Turning you rprimary into a rental may not be the best of ideas, if perhaps nobody rents on that street. Knowledge is THE most important thing, and if you go into REI, you'll gain it, it'll just depend on how you're willing to PAY for it. lol
visit as many homes/rental props. for sale as you can. ask questions, one leads to another. whether your talking to a realtor, seller, or buyer. they will ask you things you don't understand. then you simply ask them to explain. the more you look the more you learn.
