Ready For Success

What is the best one piece of advice you would give someone with limited knowledge on the anatomy of "the deal" but with a wealth of financial resources and an awesome network of people such as investors, contractors, realtors, attorneys, lenders, etc. If someone like myself (South Carolina) was looking for a way to Learn REI, how would I go about locating people in my area interested in using my resources to help me learn the business? Any advice would be appreciated.

I believe this is from Zig Ziegler: "You can have everything you want... just give the other guy what he wants."

    Hello remeyer,

It seems to me that everywhere I go, someone is talking about "flipping houses" because of the television shows.
I know that there is a small percentage of those people who actually do anything, but it seems that there are still alot of investors around... you just have to know where to look. It took me literally two days to develop a buyers list of about 40 investors who were willing to work with me.
Being from Michigan myself, I know how bad the market is. However, there are a ton of deals to go around and alot of MS.
One thing I do every few days is to go on craigslist and do a search on "real estate" and "investor" under the real estate wanted category and services provided category. You should find several leads there. May want to find a local REI club also.
Here is a link from another Michigan investor that I have found to be very helpful.

    Hope this helps. Good luck.

I need a structural engineer and an appraiser for my team.
