Where To Get Credit Checks?

For those that do owner financing where can you go to get credit checks/scores on your applicants?

We have a company CBC that has a program for private individuals that want to do credit checks on people for renting, lease options, land contracts, ect. The rep comes to our REI meeting every month. Check at your local REI meeting and see if there are any in your area.

Why don't you go to www.Myfico.com?

I use it for myself every 6 months to see where our credit score is.

If you can get the seller to tell you their SS#, then you should be able to see their credit history.

Great ideas. Wasn't even thinking. We typically use AAA to run background checks on tenants and I'm sure they could do credit checks as well. DAAAA

There is also http://www.nail-usa.com/ and www.uslandlord.com . Haven't used them personally; just have them on one of my lists! :-D

There is a company called factual data that is very, very inexpensive if you order a lot of reports.
