Was So Close To First Duplex But Need Repair 203k
I have been searching duplexes in a MODERATE range that I can and would live in one side. This is gorgeous. In 2000 this sold for 27000 more than I offered. When they responded to my FHA offer they wanted me to get a lettersaying I could get a 203k loan for approx 5000 it'd cost to do repairs of which waterproofing basement was main issue, other than carpeting. I really can't afford more than a couple more thousand. The other side is rented and would pay the majority of rent, but can't believe my credit is high sixes but debt to income ratio won't allow me to go conventional which the counteroffer said if I do so then we could continue. Any suggestions appreciated. Also, it's challenging to find a duplex in price range, that's nice. I really wnat to start with a duplex rather than a single which would be soooo easy to find.
