Verifying Rents/Profits
A while back, I remember hearing of a form that landlords have to file for tax purposes that either shows rents collected per month or profits from the collection of those rents. I was advised to ask for this form if I was looking at rental property with tenants already in place. I promptly forgot what this was called and moved on with my life.
As a birddog, I ran across an investor recently who is trying to cash out 18-23 rented single family units with current leases. Before I pick up the phone to call one investor, I would like to insure that if I tell them to check it out, it is worth the trip. Does anybody know what this form is or am I just crazy?
