Some Much Info! Where To Start?

jonna_nixon profile photo

I am just getting started in the research of REI. I have been reading "Making Big Money Investing in Foreclosures, without Cash or Credit." It is a good book but I'm on information overload! I found this site which is great and I know there's tons of forums. My question is...Where do I start? I don't even know what forums to read first! Any help would be much appreciated!

PS- Anyone in the DFW area that would be interesting in talking with me or mentoring me please let me know.
Thanks! [ Edited by jonna_nixon on Date 02/15/2004 ]

Hi Jonna, nice to meet you.

Where to start typically is dictated by your financial situation. If you have a little money to burn, I would check out rehabbing, pre-foreclosures, foreclosures, notes, or landlording. If you don't have cash at your disposal, look into subject-to, lease options, and birddogging.

I live in Dallas and would be happy to chit chat with you. I’m definitely not a pro, but I’m also free If you are interested, I’d be happy to walk you through what I know, what I’m currently into, and share my book collection. I have a little experience with rehabbing, and started my first foreclosure and lease option deals last week.

Feel free to contact me via PM or email
