Does anyone know of spcific REI educational material for a beginner(books as well as various pulications, seminars, workshops ect)? Please be as specific as possible. Anyone read Tyler Hicks stuff? Opnions? I dont know it's inappropriate to ask this sort of question(if it is please let me know) but do any seasoned investors need people to assist or work for them? Or any leads as to how one could do this?
Thanks!

A book is someone's idea of how to do this, that, and the other. The language in which they put it has to be compatible with your level of education and your desire to comprehend what is being said.

Personally I found these 3 books to be invaluable:
    Robert Kiyosaki "Cashflow Quadrant"
Jack Cummings "The Real Estate Investor's Answer Book"
Robert Shemin "Secrets Of Buying And Selling Real Estate... without Using Your Own Money"
Dolf De Roos "Real Estate Riches"
Robert Irwin "How To Invest in Real Estate With Little or No Money Down"
    Rex Cauldwell "Inspecting A House"
Dianne Kennedy "Loopholes Of The Rich" (it might be the wrong title, but anything that Diane wrote is a God send authority on tax knowledge and advice)

Also a lot of this stuff is not about what you know, but what you can recall at the right time, so I recommend repetetive study - audio tapes or CDs in your car that will teach you the same subject over and over and over.

Also buy and play Kiyosaki's CASHFLOW 202 game. When you can "get out of the rat race" in less than an hour every time, you are going to become VERY good with REI numbers and strategies.
