Incredibly Low Offer
I made an offer on a multi unit complex in SoCal on friday. The unit was listed in the MLS for 250k and it needed some work. It was a great price for the area so I immediately faxed an offer to the agent for 199k.
I got a call from the agent on saturday morning saying that it was the only offer the sellers had gotten, but the MLS listing was a mistake. The unit was supposed to be listed at 750k and not 250k.
Unfortunately, it won't cashflow over 500k, so i couldn't go back to them, but the agent said they would be in touch.
I guess if it looks to good to be true it is, but it doesn't hurt to make an offer.
Sorry for the long story, just thought it was funny.
It's even funnier that yours was the only offer. Even funnier than that will be if they accept....
