Hi, i've had the same problem, i think everybody runs into www.this.To begin with,
you want to check the last transfer deed at city hall rm120 and while you're there check for any lis pendens (litigation pending) just in case there's any liens or forclosure process. After this you're on you're own. hope this helps and don't give up!!

If you know the owner's name,, you can hire a Private investigator, skip trace, or try one of those online people search services. you can get some pretty good results. Yes, you might spend 20-50 bucks, but the harder it is to find the owners, the less competition there is for the property in question. Also, check the obituaries etc. It is possible that the owners are in a managed care facility if they are older, and there is an executor handling their affairs. Any additional information you can provide to the service will help narrow the search down to the right "John Doe".

    Good luck,
    Jeff

Check the probate office. He may have expired and therefore may have an estate in progress of being probated.

Check the divorce records. May have said bye bye to the wife and moved on. Divorce records will give you a current address.

If that fails follow suggestion given earlier - skip tracer.
