How Do I Find Bird Dogs?

InActive_Account profile photo

Hello,

I would like to work with birddogs but I don't know how to find them.

Is there any site or something similar where Birddogs and Investors can find each other?

Thanks,

try your local real estate investors club.

put an ad in the paper offering to teach people the biz if they will bring you deals.

My investor scooped me up with an ad in the paper for a bird dog.

Contact a realtor in your area that specializes in representing investors. If you "DELETE"[ Edited by JohnLocke on Date 05/25/2004 ]

    John Locke,

Why is this entire thread not a series of ads?

    Mark,

In answer to your question, if you notice there is a "Report This Post" where one clicks on this to notify the Moderators that in the posters eyes the post violates the policies of the board. Then it becomes the Moderators responsibilty to determine if the post is in violation of the rules.

I thought even though you are a new person here, but have done many posts, that you would have recognized by now how the system works.

If you need futher instruction on how to click in the Report This Post area I could make up a flow chart to assist you, as sometimes not all posts are seen by the Moderators and your assistance is greatly appreciated spotting these posts with your keen eye.

Also, if you see someone posting like crazy to move up in the rankings let me know, this also is a violation of the rules.

The art of recruiting bird dogs works best for me by way of networking with key job types like:

    Postal service workers
    Process servers
    Meter readers
    And so on

I simply use what is called a 3-foot rule.

When I come into contact with people I simply introduce my self and let them know I buy and sell real estate and if they bring me a deal I pay a finders fee of $500, $1,000, $2,000 and so on if I am able to make a deal.

I give them a business card after I jot down the finder's fee on the back of the card.

    JohnMichael,

Welcome back, it has been awhile and as always very good advice.

    John,

You'll note I have clicked "report this post" many times. You'll also note that you edited bgun's post and I therefore concluded that you had seen the other posts in the thread and concluded that they were not ads therefore "sometimes not all posts are seen by the Moderators" would not seem to apply. Just curious about whether there is some definition I'm not clear on yet. You know me-- just trying to understand the rules so I can stay inside them.

    Thanks John,

Had to hold off posting until my none compete clause had ended when I sold my real estate teaching business.

a good way is to train your own...smile

Go to John Locke's post and click on his products. Then educate yourself in the process and teach someone else to do it for you smile
