Good Cities To Invest

norcalguy profile photo

I am a newbie, looking to invest in real estate. I live in the SF Bay Area, and prices are too high for me to be able to afford anything reasonable. What are some other cities in California or neighboring states that are growth areas but reasonably priced?

I would suggest going to Sacramento area. Nevada and Arizona would be a good choice also.

The Sacramento market is softening. I just sold out of a partnership there. Just bought a Subject To house in Texas. Seems to be one of the best spots to go.

I also live in the bay area and work just south of San Francisco. I am a newbie and have purchased three new homes in AZ over the past 18 months. All of the homes were rented out within 1-3 months and the rental amounts cover the mortgage payments. I have been down there a couple of times and it is really growing fast. They are building everywhere that you look.

Hi there, I'm searching a forum to discuss best places to invest in RE.

Texas seems attractive, agree prices are reasonable, but tons of properties offered for rent. I'll check Austin, also heard than San Antonio is growing fast.

In case of SF bay, properties for rent are very scarce, even at current sky-rocketing prices. Something to consider...
