Finally Ready To Get My Feet Wet...

Scott_D profile photo

Does anyone have any thoughts on the best route to get started? REOs, lease options, subject to, wholesaling, foreclosure, etc.? I want to get involved in something where I can learn the craft but that is not so confusing or overwhelming. If any of you can offer suggestions, it would be appreciated.

Read, Read Read!!! Then read some more. Start bird dogging and learn the ropes, then try to find a good mentor...... not as easy as it sounds, but is definately the best route.

    Hello Scott,
A big factor is your available resources
(how much $$ to start with) and what interests you have in your options.
    Good luck

I am definitely in agreement with prior two message (reading and what do you bring to the table).

Once you have read a lot about different paths to take you can then look at the local market. See what seems to work in your area. The best ideas tend to change over time as the marketplace changes. Hence what worked last year might not be the best way to start this years. By reading a broad range of things you have better perspective and can spot trends.

reading will show you which area is comfortable for you and you will find what you enjoy doing. " find something you enjoy doing and you will never work another day." good luck..kenmax
