A Little Motivation For The New Investors

Hi All. I wanted to post this as some motivation for investors that are either new to the game or investors that have had a hard time getting started. I started in REI a little less than a year ago and was fortunate enough to hook up with a great mentor. I bought four rental properties and started to buy rehab and sell a few more properties. I have successfully completed 5 flips so far and am starting to branch out into some other areas as well. The point of this isn't to toot my own horn ( Ok a little it is lol). It is mainly to show the new investors coming into this that it is possible to be succesful and that you don't have to just get lucky. It wasn't easy and it takes some time but I am pleased with the results. Also I actually was able to quit my J.O.B and go full time into REI. Much of the credit of me being able to do that is all the great posts and advice I have gotten from all of you here. For the newbies...Use this forum!!! there is sooooo much goodinfo on here. Thanks and Good luck!

This is awesome...I've been on the site for some time now. However, this is my first post.

How much REI background did you have before you took the plunge?

How did you go about finding your mentor?

    Thanks!

actually I had no rei experience. I educated myself through seminars, here at this forum and talking to other investors. My mentor was a guy that had been rehabbing for about 15 years. I bout a wholesale deal from him and it grew from there.

Did you meet this "mentor" at a REI club or you just found the property and met him that way?
