Non Standard Ways To Find Out If Home Was A Manufactured Home?

linlin profile photo

I am interested in a property that the bank says is a SFR A-frame but from my point of view it is a manufactured/mobile home. The bank claims it is not but the house was permitted and them completed for occupation 2 weeks or so later. Plus they are selling it "as-is, where-is". That to me says it is not a standard A-frame but rather placed there.

How else can I find out about the home?

You would be best to speak to a geo-engineer.
Depending on the soil you have as well as the weather for
that year or years........can effect the house significantly.

All houses must "breathe".........however when it gets
to the point that foundations are cracking more then 1/16 - 1/8 inch and the crack extending or starting from the footer then their is reason for concern.

You can find geo-engineers in the phone book as well as
    contacting local building associations.

    regards
