"Repository" List?

Kayla561 profile photo

I read this only once, on this site & I cannot find it again within the posts! It was someone's great advice, on "how to purchase" the left over sales from an auction, which did not sell. I am trying to do the same, but the county clerk's office keeps me at bay consistently, by saying that all of the properties have been returned to their banks or lenders. They will not mention a list about a "repository," & when I have mentioned this term; I am met with an icy stare, period! They just refuse to acknowledge it! It makes me feel like this list is "saved" or "hidden," for some others to use instead. Should I continue to search in the county clerk's office, or am I just wasting time here? Should I just go to any bank & ask for their list of repos? I have been searching for the person who wrote this advice for months now, on this site; but no luck, as I cannot remember his name! Now that I have the funds, I can't find my targets. Oh help, please......., as this is now holding up my start in investing.
I wish to thank anyone who lends a helping hand here, in advance! This site is so great, in that everyone helps another, when they can! Thanks again!
Smiles,

Kayla,If you can find out during the auction which bank it is. Go directly to the person who handles their reo's,this may take some time! They will give you the run around. Take some mortgage bankers/brokers to lunch and ask if they would suggest clients who are distressed to you. It will take some time to build their trust.

    Dear MichaelChandler,
Thank you for your very quick reply & all of the information as well. I am sure that it will help me in this area, & it is greatly appreciated! I still don't understand why there is an air of "secrecy," or being made to feel like it is a "wrong" thing to be doing. Why all of this non-trust, if I have the funds necessary for the purchase? Is this legal, and doesn't the public have a right to know? Or is this similar to an "insider's tip," as in the Stock Market? Sorry, but really do not understand, why this is seen in such a bad light. The property listed ( if I can find my way to it) is for sale, only it is in quite bad condition. I plan to fix that problem, so what is all of the fuss about? If this is the wrong thing to do, please tell me? I thought that it would be any easy way to get my start, plus I would be making ready, a newly renovated home for someone & their family to enjoy. What is wrong with that, hmmmm......? I am very confused here; but maybe it is because I am a "newbie" to all of this.

    Smiles,
    Kayla
