Appreciated Properties Held In C-corp
I saw add on a rather loopy-net website where someone was looking to buy c-corps with appreciated RE holding which I thought was odd since I was always told that a c-corp is not the place for an appreciating asset.
This group has (I beleive he said a REIT) that has tons of unused tax credits. So he buys the c-corp from you (stock) transaction and solves the tax problem w/ the tax credits.
I thought that was pretty slick
interesting. way to get value out of the NOL.
