What Countrywide Is Doing To Me

dobbie profile photo

C-wide decided to brake into my home today, 15 days prior to scheduled sheriff sale. I am in MI, where there is an additional 6 months of redemption.

I think this is illegal, do you know of any attorneys I can contact in Michigan?

I listed the home myself - I am a broker. I go there once or twice a week, plus showings by other realtors. Utilities are on and paid. In January I submitted all my income docs, listing ticket, appraisal, hardship letter, etc. to C-wide hoping I could delay the sheriff sale until I find a buyer...but no hope yet! Little did I know they would try to take the property before.

I have another question while on the subject of countrywide. I am currently doing a shortsale with them and the sale is coming up in 2 weeks. It was finally assigned a mitigator and now she tells me in order for my short to go through i have to come up with a months payment along with a 200 fee. They want 1300 just to delay the sale and this isnt even to say they are going to accept the short. Has anybody ever heard of this? I told her i could fax her a pre qual letter and she said if she doesnt have the money she is going to let it go to auction. Any advice?

    Thanks, Ryan

Why not just put the $7K towards downpayment and just borrow the $5k on the second.
Committing fraud is asking for trouble.

SSP - what do you mean by "...learn where the second is...money change hands..."
