"Bottom Feeders " In California
I was chatting this weekend with an associate who investes in Real Estate.
He had a very bad impression of shortsellers
He thinks they are opportunistic bottom feeders
I have heard alot of stuff about shortselling. So this question is for you that live in CA and do shortselling.
Are there really shortselling opportunities for an honest man who is not an opportunist and how common are they?

I am not in CA, but I do short sales. The fact is there are a lot of bottom feeders around. Not just in CA, but everywhere. I just had someone call me because someone talked him into signing over the deed to his house, and he hasn't heard from him since. The fact of the matter is that there are short sale opportunities everywhere. You have an opportunity to really help people, and to make a profit doing it, or you can take unfair advantage of people. It is your choice. If you choose to take advantage of people, I hope Bubba treats you well in jail. If you choose to help people, I truly wish you great success. It is an incredibly rewarding thing to know you helped someone out of a bad situation, and did so in a way that there were no losers.
